Not rude in the slightest, and I say that as somebody who once sat through an entire afternoon of something because I could not find the sentence. The price is agreed for the day, so stopping early saves you nothing. What it buys you is a chair in the shade, and at 40 degrees that is a fair trade. What I have learned is to say it at the start rather than at hour six. Something along the lines of, I would like a slow morning and I may want to stop after lunch. Nobody has ever blinked at me for it.
Jonas Viksame daySay it early and say it plainly. A hint does not survive translation. For Luxor I would also flip your order. West bank first thing, east bank later. Karnak has shade in the hypostyle hall in the afternoon. The Valley has none at any hour of the day, and in September that difference is the whole trip.
Yasmin Haddadnext dayOne argument against going west first, Jonas. The balloons land around seven and a lot of those passengers go straight from the field to the Valley, so between eight and nine it is busier there than people expect. If you want it quiet it is west bank at half six or west bank at two, and there is not much in between. On the hypostyle hall he is completely right, that is the only proper shade on the east bank and it holds until about four.
