Walk beneath the legendary Great Hypostyle Hall, where 134 gigantic sandstone columns rise dramatically above your head, creating one of the most breathtaking architectural masterpieces ever built.    Stop 2 | Luxor Temple

   Luxor

   Continue to the magnificent Luxor Temple, one of Egypt's most elegant and beautifully preserved monuments. Unlike most temples dedicated solely to worship, Luxor Temple celebrated the divine kingship of the Pharaohs and played a central role during the famous Opet Festival, one of Ancient Egypt's greatest religious celebrations. Admire the colossal statues of Ramses II, impressive papyrus-shaped columns, and beautifully carved hieroglyphics while learning how this temple remained a sacred place for thousands of years, witnessing the rise of different civilizations, religions, and empires.

   Stop 3 | Avenue of the Sphinxes

   Luxor

   Step outside Luxor Temple and continue your journey along the magnificent Avenue of the Sphinxes, the ancient ceremonial road that once connected Luxor Temple with Karnak Temple. Stretching for nearly 2.7 kilometers and lined with hundreds of beautifully restored sphinx statues, this sacred avenue was used during the famous Opet Festival, when the statues of the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu were carried in grand religious processions between the two temples. Walking along this remarkable archaeological pathway offers a unique opportunity to imagine the grandeur of Ancient Egyptian celebrations while enjoying one of Luxor's most impressive restoration projects.
