Florence with a five year old in August. My decision, my problem, I am not asking for sympathy. Four days left and I keep coming back to the Cinque Terre day. Door to door the private version reads as twelve hours and that is the number I cannot get past. He goes down between one and half two or the evening belongs to nobody. So is there a nap anywhere in a day like that, or is it constant in and out of the car? Then the bits that never make it into a description. How far is the drop off from the actual villages? And are there toilets out there that I could get a five year old into without a twenty minute negotiation at the door? He managed fifty minutes in the Uffizi on Saturday, which I thought was respectable. Flat ground he is fine. Steps he is a disaster. Any detail at all from someone who has done it with a small one.
