Booked a catamaran day out of Punta Cana for the 4th of September. One holiday a year and I have put it in the exact month every website tells you to avoid, which is very me. Two evenings this week on storm tracking maps. None on packing. What I want from anyone who has been in the DR in late August or September is the shape of a normal week out there. Do you lose an afternoon and get on with it, or does it sit over you for three days while you play cards in the lobby with strangers? I took the two o'clock departure because it was about 20 US cheaper a head and I am now wondering if that was a false economy. Nobody can forecast six weeks out, I do know that. I am asking about the pattern, so I can shut the laptop.
