Good evening all. We sail at the end of this month and the ship calls at Dubrovnik on the 3rd of September, alongside from 7am until 8pm, which I gather is a generous call by the standards of that port. My wife has walked the walls before and has no wish to repeat the exercise in the heat. A friend of ours was there last week and reports 33 degrees up on the walls and a queue at the Pile gate steps running the length of the street by half nine, so I am inclined to agree with her. That leaves us a choice of two. One is the day over the border into Montenegro for Kotor and the bay. The other is up to Mostar, which I understand is a good deal longer. I would be grateful for any honest sense of how long each takes door to door, and in particular how the border crossings tend to behave in the first week of September. I have no wish to be the couple at the gangway at ten past eight explaining ourselves to an officer.
