If you are looking for a way to see all of Madrid’s most popular sites but only have a little time, then the ‘Madrid Highlights tour’ is the one for you. Although it is possible to walk or use public transportation to explore this beautiful city, it is quicker and more convenient to take a private car. This way you can maximise your time and see more of Madrid. On the morning of your tour, your Welcome driver will pick you up from your chosen accommodation, and take you on your fully personalized journey through the most popular sites of Madrid. Every aspect of your tour is customizable, and points of interest can be added or taken away, however, the following itinerary is one we suggest. You will start your tour in the oldest neighbourhood in Mardis, Calle Gran Via, where you will have the chance to take a relaxing walk through the stunning Botanical Gardens of Parque del Oeste. At this stop you can also visit the magical Temple of Debob, and soak up all the Spanish history. From the Botanical Gardens you will also have the chance to see the majestic Royal Palace of Madrid, an architectural marvel from 1755. If you have the time, the historical Atocha railway station, the Triumphal Arch and some of the city’s most stunning fountains are very close to this stop. Your driver will then take you through the vibrant square of Puerta del Sol, and down to Madrid’s spiritual centre, Playa Mayor. This is the point at which we suggest you make a stop for lunch at one of the many tapas restaurants, or ask your driver for a personal recommendation. After your delicious Spanish meal, you will then head to Madrid’s renowned museum district to visit one of the most culturally significant museums in the city. In this area you will find many museums, however, we recommend choosing between the Prado Museum and the Ermita de San Antonio de la Florida. After your historical pitstop, you will drive down the picturesque Paseo de la Castellan towards Salamanca, Madrid’s most exclusive neighbourhood. This vibrant quarter is full of designer boutiques, fine dining restaurants, lovely little tapas bars and even the world-famous Plaza de Toros. There are so many unique photo opportunities in Salamanca, but the best has to be outside Las Ventas, the biggest bullring in the world. After you have shopped, taken some once in a lifetime photos and enjoyed the historical buildings, you can return to your Welcome car and your driver will drop you back off at your accommodation.
